Mute Design Manifesto

Odors of rotten rules and regulations suffocate the creative ecology of Hong Kong. Design professionals have never ceased to question the meaning of design.

I therefore try to look for answers from the pictograph of Han Chinese and to declare that WE, as designers, are not limited to brilliant strategic solutions, but as well to design through our senses. Apart from our MOUTH, our HEART, BRAIN, EYES, HANDS also play a part. Through a set of reconstructed Chinese characters and its reflective phases, we intended to emancipate practitioners from the ideology at large and look for the true meaning of DESIGN out-of-the-box.

New wave designers shall succeed to unfold a boundless creative nation that in turn rejuvenates the creative ecology of Hong Kong, our hometown.

A Book is…

A piece of paper reflects not only time but also space. Books are formed by binding papers together to become containers of words that serve as a reservoir as well as a spring of wisdom.
